The beaches are deserted, but the island is surrounded by seagrass, and many areas have dead seagrass washed up on the beach, so the beach gets soiled and snorkeling is very poor because of the seagrass; if you want to see turtles, they do have those and tortoises.

We absolutely loved our stay at Four Seasons Desroches. The island is beautiful, peaceful, and full of things to discover, and our villa was stunning, new, private, and extremely comfortable. What made the stay especially memorable was the wonderful staff and the activities. We enjoyed learning more about the island, the tortoises, and Creole culture. Nassine was truly special; her passion for her work really shines through and made the experience even more meaningful for us. We have stayed at many beautiful resorts, but Desroches felt particularly complete because it combines nature, activities, privacy, and excellent service so well. We really hope to come back soon and, of course, to see Big Pete and Jeffrey again.

Everything was perfect at this hotel, and we chose it for my birthday because it felt like a fairytale. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and we had a wonderful time celebrating my special day. The hotel exceeded our expectations in every way, and we can't wait to come back.
