Absolutely charming host in a beautifully refurbished 14th century mini Chateau. Lovely special room with large ensuite bathroom. Very quiet and tranquil with nice country walks. Although very rural, 2 excellent restaurants 10 minutes drive away in St. Loup

The staff, especially Paula, was exceptionally attentive, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. The priory itself is stunning, set in a beautiful, flower‑laden garden, and the heated pool was fantastic—an unforgettable experience staying in this candlelit, centuries‑old priory. The only drawback is that it’s a 14th‑century building, so it’s not ideal for very tall or elderly guests because the spiral staircase is a bit steep. The kitchen appliances are modest but adequate for a short visit. Once you know the quirks, you’ll still have a wonderful time in this pastoral setting!

The host’s welcome was flawless; she was caring and very friendly. However, a fire in the fireplace upon our arrival caused smoke to fill the room instead of venting out, which was harsh on our eyes and lungs—unbearable. We couldn’t stay in the room, and the other rooms were infested with spiders. We left after 45 minutes to find another place at night, paid for two nights for nothing, and never got a refund. Not recommended.

The owner was very pleasant to talk to, and the breakfast was a nice English style. The room was very comfortable. Unfortunately, the pool was not available at that time, which should have been noted in the listing, and the dining options were far away. There was a TV in the room, but I never received the requested invoice.
