Villa Margaux

Nothing. The experience at Villa Margaux was very bad. The stay was extremely disappointing. The air‑conditioning was defective, making the stay very uncomfortable. We also found cockroaches and an obvious lack of cleanliness in the accommodation. The staff’s behavior was also very disappointing: unpleasant welcome, lack of professionalism, and no real willingness to solve the problems encountered. For the price paid, we expected a minimum of cleanliness, comfort, and respect. Unfortunately, none of that was present. I strongly advise against this establishment and recommend that future travelers do thorough research before booking.

Everything was great—clean, comfortable, and very peaceful. The calm atmosphere and warm welcome stood out, especially Mr. Saïd’s kindness, professionalism, and excellent service. Nothing in particular went wrong; everything was perfect for our stay.

The location and the Riad look pretty. The front‑desk person wasn’t very friendly or smiling, just indifferent. We couldn’t pay by card because the TPE didn’t work, so we were forced to use cash and had limited buying options in Essaouira.

The riad is clean and well‑situated. The reception at arrival was not great and cold, and the bathroom was missing a bath mat and a hair dryer. The breakfast matched the price of the room—acceptable.
