“Alles einwandfrei bis auf Betriebsgeräusche.”
The hotel is very close to Mühlhausen’s old town and sits on a quiet side street. The free parking lot has only a few spots (4 unrestricted and 3 for disabled), but the street always offers plenty of free paid‑free spaces. Hidden on the property of the neighboring restaurant “Logenhaus” (same company as the hotel) are two electric charging spots that guests can use for a flat fee of 25 € (worth it only for larger kW loads). The room’s furnishings aren’t brand new but are flawless, including the bed. A large wardrobe is available, which isn’t always standard in hotels. The TV is small but has many channels, and Wi‑Fi works well. The breakfast buffet is good, with a wide variety of foods including muesli, cakes, and juices. Behind the hotel is a nicely laid out small garden with a historic water wheel from the former mill that the hotel is named after. In room 25 there was a constant noise, possibly from the heating system, even though the radiators were turned down. It occasionally disturbed sleep, which may bother some people but not others. The noise did not come from outside. Breakfast is served only until 10 am on weekdays and until 10:30 am on weekends; 11 am would be more relaxed. There is no lounge area with seating like elsewhere, so no place to stay in the lobby.
