The extraordinary spot in Alvor was a highlight; the lift from the pool takes you straight to the beach, and Praia da Rocha is truly gorgeous. The pool is huge with plenty of loungers, the food is excellent, and the restaurant’s view is stunning. Parking right in front of the hotel is free and spacious, and we also enjoyed the live music played at the bar repeatedly. However, there were occasional cleanliness issues—small spots on fresh towels and sheets in the room, slightly dirty or damaged dishes in the restaurant, and occasional minor service oversights. The pillows were quite uncomfortable, which was a high‑level critique.

The hotel was lovely, the food was very good, and the staff were all friendly. I felt the room was small and old, and it could use an update.

The location was great, just a 15‑minute walk to Alvor along the beach, and the lift down to the beach helped older guests; the salt‑water pool was amazing and easy to access with a hand rail. The rooms could use a lift, especially the bathrooms, which felt a bit worn.
