The accommodation wasn’t far from the beach, but the price was too high for the facilities, the infrastructure, and the design felt more like a guesthouse than a hotel.

The hotel was very nice and clean, with rooms that weren’t huge but sufficient and plenty of storage. Coffee and tea could be made in the room, and breakfast was served on the roof terrace. A small snack could also be had at the hotel, which is useful since there’s nothing nearby. The beach is just a few minutes’ walk away, and the hotel offers a free shuttle bus. On weekends the beach gets crowded and there are food stalls, but during the week we had 5 km of beach to ourselves. A small restaurant on the beach is relatively expensive but good. The city is walkable, but Grab is definitely better. There are huge parks and very wide streets, and everyone is very nice. The sea is pleasantly warm and shallow. Around the hotel there’s nothing—empty lots, unopened shops, and lots of construction. Unfortunately, on weekends there was a lot of litter on the beach and in the water, but it was much better during the week.

The staff were very warm and efficient, the cleanliness was excellent, and the breakfast was delicious. Everything was perfect.
