The location is perfect for walks around the lake, the hotel is really cozy, all amenities are high‑standard, excellent breakfast. The design feels illogical; from the separate WC you have to wash hands near the sofa in the bathroom, shoes are left under the bench right before the amazing King‑size bed, and from the perfect sofa you only see three doors (entrance, WC, bathroom).

Check‑in was directly at the hotel’s own parking with a code, the large roomy suite had a shower and bathtub in front of the double bed, friendly staff, great location, good breakfast and a nice evening food selection.

Ich war schon wirklich oft in Gmunden, doch beim "Zum Goldenen Hirschen" zum ersten Mal. Was soll ich sagen, es war so schön. Das ganze Hotel ist mit Liebe zum Detail gestaltet. Wir hatten ein großes Zimmer mit Blick in den Innenhof. Die Ausstattung ist top und alles sehr sauber und gepflegt. Der Fitness- und Wellnessbereich am Dach ist klein, aber fein. Gutes Frühstück und nette Gastgeber. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen bestimmt wieder

In the room there’s a step in front of the bed, and the hot‑water supply was very awkward.

I was blown away by how ultra‑modern the hotel felt, with original rooms and a spacious spa area that really impressed me. The breakfasts were tasty, the location super convenient, and the whole place was cozy and spotless. The staff were friendly, but the only hiccup was that the cups in the spa area weren’t very clean. Everything else was perfect.
