Taj Theog Resort & Spa Shimla

Had a wonderful stay at Taj Theog. The hospitality, ambience, and service were excellent. Special thanks to Duty Managers Rohan and Rahul for their warm assistance and attentive service throughout the stay. Would definitely love to visit again!

“Beautiful experience, definitely coming back.”

We had an amazing stay here and couldn’t have chosen a better place to celebrate my birthday. The property is beautiful, surrounded by nature with stunning views and a peaceful vibe. Getting there was easy thanks to the convenient approach. Check‑in was smooth from the start. Traveling with our dog was hassle‑free; he was welcomed warmly and treated with genuine affection, which meant a lot. A special shout‑out to Himanshu, who went above and beyond to make sure everything was just right—he was attentive without being intrusive, and his thoughtfulness made the birthday truly special. The hotel offers a great selection of experiences; we picked the picnic in the woods, which was beautifully organized and thoughtfully executed. Sitting amid nature, surrounded by peace and quiet, was exactly what we needed. It was one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, it was a gorgeous experience: a beautiful property, incredible views, warm hospitality, and a wonderful setting to unwind. We left feeling completely relaxed and very happy we chose to celebrate my birthday here. We’d love to return.

I loved the traditional culture heritage, but the road to the resort was too broken.

“Can get better for a taj standard”

The location was good, but the rooms had no AC, and the villas were far; walking to them is inconvenient if it rains or is cold, and you need to take steps to reach your room.

“Extremely disappointing.”

The location was good, but that was the only bright spot of our stay. We paid a premium price and even upgraded to a luxury view room, yet the room was outdated, sparsely furnished, and didn’t feel luxurious at all. The view was disappointing and nowhere near what we expected. Service throughout the hotel was extremely slow, and the staff lacked attention to detail. The restaurant was overcrowded with no tables available, making dining frustrating despite being a guest at the hotel. Overall, the experience did not justify the price we paid. I have stayed at other luxury hotels that offer far better rooms, service, and hospitality. Based on my experience, I would definitely prefer Wildflower Hall over Taj Theog. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this property to anyone looking for a true luxury stay.
