The situation was fine. Nothing to complain about.

I might have been upgraded from a single to a Twin. Thanks for that! Room 101 is at the front of the building, right next to a small “comfort” zone with a sofa, coffee machine, microwave, and kettle for common use. I was there on a Friday night, but nobody else was in that area, and there was no street noise, even with the tiny veranda doors open! The bed and mattress were wonderfully firm, and the shower was decent. If you need to leave your luggage, ask reception in the morning for a set of keys. There are two huge cupboard spaces directly opposite room 101—one for the locker and one to let you back in! The lady said I could use them all day. The location is exactly halfway between the train and bus stations. All the recent Merida attractions are also under 10‑15 minutes away. Not a complaint, but the fridge in the room is much too small and too loud to be useful! It would make more sense to have a regular‑sized fridge in the common area.

The staff was friendly, and she gave us a lot of useful info—like where to park—and made check‑in a breeze, especially since we arrived very late at night.
