The spot is spot-on, close to everything – the boardwalk, the crossing to Arraial beach, all great – and the sheets were clean and smelled fresh. The staff were very helpful and attentive. However, the room was sandy, the beds were very uncomfortable, the shower only ran cold and was filthy, the water tasted brackish and foul, and there was nowhere to hang clothes in the bathroom. The TV remote didn’t work, so we had to download an app to watch, and the TV itself was dusty behind it. The air‑conditioner and mini‑fridge were also dirty. Breakfast was okay but all cold, the tables were too big for the cramped space, and the tops were loose. Parking costs money; even though it’s on the street, it’s a blue zone. If you’re lucky the staff won’t charge, but if they do, they’ll bill at least 35,00 per day. They patrol from 8 am to 6 pm.

O café da manhã é excelente. O quarto bastante confortável e a receptividade dos funcionários sensacional! A localização também é formidável. A única coisa que me pegou foi o chuveiro, que saía pouca água e nao esquentava direito. E havia um pequeno vazamento no box

“Aprimorar mais à limpeza.”

The lodge is well‑situated, the air‑conditioner cools nicely, the room feels cozy, the service is excellent, and the homemade breakfast is tasty. Cleaning was lacking, though: on every day I stayed, the room and bathroom were not cleaned.

Excellent location near the culture promenade and the ferry. Breakfast was good. We didn’t like the beds – the mattress was uncomfortable because there were three mattresses. The single bed was very hard, while the other mattress was springy and okay. The space was tight, just enough for sleeping.
