The Family Beach Villa

I didn’t meet expectations. I stayed at The Family Beach Villa for just one night before my flight, so I really wanted a calm night’s rest. Unfortunately, reality was noticeably different from the photos and description. The hotel looks very tired, it seems it could use an update. The corridor is narrow, and from the window you can see a nearby abandoned lot filled with trash – an odd impression. The balcony on the second floor was another story; I’d get spooked when the owner suddenly appeared “out of nowhere” from the other side 😄. Turns out there’s a street stair we didn’t even know existed. If you’re looking for comfort and accuracy to photos, you might want to consider other options. But if you want extreme surprises, local authenticity, and real adventure, this place is for you! 😄🌴

The host Ashan was wonderful—friendly and always ready to help with any questions. The place is a modest family-run spot right on the beach, and we loved the balcony view. There’s a nice pool and the beach is just in front of the property where you can swim. For the price range it was absolutely worth it. Highly recommend!

Perfect accommodation right on the sea for the start or end of a trip. You can’t swim, but the waves put on a great show. The family is super friendly and the pool is very clean and well maintained. I was able to stay in the room much longer because my flight was only in the late afternoon. I felt very comfortable there. Poolside loungers would have been nice.
