“Value for money”

The house comfortably accommodates many guests, with two bathrooms and a well-equipped en‑suite. The managers were very helpful when we ran short on cutlery. However, there are no child locks on the bedroom windows, which is a serious safety concern because the windows on the 1st and 2nd floors open wide and could let children fall out, especially when beds are near the window. We would stay again if this issue were fixed. The bar stools were still wobbly, there was no bathroom plug upstairs, the master bedroom curtain rail fell on my head, and neighbors’ rubbish remained in the garden. Aside from these problems, it’s a great place to stay.

The location was convenient, not far from the city center and the marathon start, and the property’s size was ideal for seven of us. The property needs some upkeep: rubbish in the back garden should have been removed before the next guests arrived, bags on the ground looked like they’d been rummaged through, toilet roll holders were broken, the downstairs toilet seat was broken, and the house was not cleaned properly—our room had a round table with pizza residue. In the kitchen, stools were very wobbly and the oven wasn’t spotless, though we didn’t use it. One of the top‑floor bed mattresses was uncomfortable because two people rolled into the middle.

Holly was fantastic; a single call and a few texts made the experience great. The accommodation was clean but looked a bit tired and more like student housing. There were issues with bathroom handles and the front‑door key, but Holly offered a maintenance man to fix the broken bathroom handles, so overall the place did the job.

Parking off the road was convenient, and the house was finished to a high standard. There was no Wi‑Fi or a real TV, but that wasn’t a major problem.
