“Decent”
The spa was decent, the bed was fine, and it’s close to Stratford, though the place feels a bit dated.
“The hotel felt unloved and neglected”
The grounds were nice and the dinner was good, but when we got to breakfast the tables were still dirty, many surfaces were dusty, staff were standing around instead of cleaning, and service was slow.

Room spacious, but needed a good clean, bits and stains on the carpet and furniture looking bit grubby, food wrapper behind tv. Breakfast was very tasty and wide variety. Spa was good, but shame the robes and slippers weren’t provided , change for rode £5 and slipper £2. Cleanliness, I know it’s an stately home, but stains on the carpet and need a someone to check after the cleaner has been around, food bits on the dining room and lounge floor, even in the morning

At breakfast we were asked to pay upfront while in line, which felt off, and the fare was poor for the price: no whole‑food cereals, no nuts, fruit was missing, no porridge, no proper yogurt, and overall low‑value produce. The rooms are not sound‑proofed, so we were disturbed several times by other guests’ conversations.
This hotel is excellent, wonderfully relaxing, and enjoyable. Nothing to dislike.
