The place is well‑located, though the steep hill up to the building can be tiring, even though it’s close to the train station. The breakfast buffet was pretty good, and I heard you could request pancakes, eggs, etc., and they’ll even prepare a takeaway breakfast if you need to leave before the buffet starts. I liked having my own balcony with a table and chair. The rooms were clean, spacious, and the bed was comfortable. The walls are thin, so I’d bring a white‑noise machine if you plan to sleep early because of the chatter. There’s no air circulation, so rooms get stuffy. I found mold on the bathroom ceiling; management said it’s because people don’t open windows during showers, which makes sense. They “treated” it after I reported it, but I’m not sure what they did – it just looked painted over. If you have a weak immune system, be cautious; I’m not sure if this is common in older Swiss buildings without AC or ventilation. The staff were friendly and explained what they used to treat it, though I’m unsure how genuine it was. Keeping windows open also let in small bugs.

The staff were amazing at helping us navigate the town and area, especially during our 4:30 am checkout when they even served us a little to‑go breakfast; the rooms stayed clean and orderly after our travels, but we would have liked AC or at least a fan because we sleep very cold.

The balcony is great, and the hotel sits very close to the railway station—just a walk up a small hill, which was totally fine for us; breakfast was great and had everything I needed, and the staff were very friendly and nice, making it easy to commute around Jungfrau, Interlaken, and the surrounding small towns; all good.

The hotel’s location is excellent, right next to the train station; the front desk was very enthusiastic and provided all the relevant information clearly during check‑in; on the day of check‑out we were rushing to catch a 7 o’clock train and couldn’t have breakfast, so we called the host in advance and they kindly packed us a breakfast to take with us on the train.
