“wer es hart mag ist hier richtig. Für Fahrradfahrer ungeeignet.”
Room key only after immediate payment, announced in a tone you’d hear at a military barracks. The room itself was old and worn; the shower head falls off when touched, the tap is so calcified that only a thin, sharp jet comes out. The mattress has a steel coil core and is completely flattened – you lie in it, not on it. The sheet and pillow had black and red spots, which I photographed. I didn’t sleep well afterwards. The decor is a matter of taste. The price, however, is a different story: lunch for two cost over 70 euros, while the day before we paid 35 euros elsewhere – including the tourist tax. At breakfast I was yelled at because three coffees were still payable; only one was included, and nobody had mentioned that before. Breakfast itself is estimated at 8000 calories, which is also a matter of taste. Bottom line: a place that keeps rooms at 40 °C, has a collapsed steel‑coil mattress, falling fixtures, and spotted bedding, yet charges like a spa hotel and pushes guests as soon as money is involved. We’ve been cycling for weeks and are very picky about where we stay. Nothing here is right: cleanliness, condition, price, or guest treatment. I’d rather forget the night, but I have the photos.
