“לא משהו בכלל ולא נחזור”
We really liked the culture of sleeping on floor mattresses, it was refreshing, different, and quite pleasant; the mattress was really comfortable. The hotel was quiet and peaceful, and the view below the hotel, with the river flowing, was amazing. On the day we arrived, there was no one at the front desk; it was quiet and silent for 10 minutes while we waited and called out, but no one answered… It was really uncomfortable. Finally a front‑desk clerk from the office area came, smiled, said yes to everything, but didn’t speak a single word in English; the person didn’t understand anything, not even through Google Translate. This was my first time in my life and on my travels around the world, sitting in front of a front‑desk clerk for an hour and a half or more, exhausting and annoying until a Nepalese clerk came out and could speak English, but it was still an illogical situation. In earlier calls we asked for arrangements for a vegetarian dinner, and they did that, but the food served was Japanese, not tasty, outright disgusting in taste. When the corn soup was small, I asked for another, and they served a huge plate of spaghetti, but I asked for an extra portion and they wouldn’t give me another. We were promised salmon one evening, but it turned out we were only promised it, it wasn’t served. As a Western person who loves food, the breakfast was disappointing, they served Japanese food again, not tasty at all. We don’t eat things like hard boiled eggs that are cold, and there was no bread on the first day; they told us there would be bread the next day, and there was bread, but nothing else to eat. On the second day they made an omelet, and for some reason the chef decided to put ketchup on it, which is disgusting and inappropriate; let me decide what’s good for me on the omelet. In short, it was disappointing. The hallway on the 11th floor, where our room is, had a very unpleasant smell of plants and mold, and it followed you into the room. In short, nothing at all!
