The room was very pleasant and well‑located. Occasionally, people made noise with their footsteps in the corridors at night.

Good location with easy transport links, cafés, restaurants, supermarkets and shops close by. The room, kitchen and bathroom were fine, but you CAN NOT sleep at night! The windows face a busy street with heavy traffic all night. The building walls are thick, yet the windows are thin aluminium frames with just one glass pane. Such rooms shouldn’t be rented because sleep is a basic human need—this is disrespectful. Also, the old A/C in the room doesn’t work; if the temperature rises above 28 °C you can’t sleep there. Why didn’t the owner replace it? I do not recommend booking here.

Despite the bathrooms, kitchen and washing machine being shared, everything worked smoothly. It seemed everyone was considerate, and daily cleaning made the shared facilities very usable. Fresh fruit, coffee, etc. were available at no charge. The location was OK—some distance from the old centre but close to the metro and shops. The neighbourhood was mixed with nice green oases, several good spots nearby, and lively street life. There was no air‑conditioning, only a very large fan, and we were there during a hot period when we needed to keep the window open. Almirante Guesthouse sits at a fairly busy intersection, and the number of emergency vehicles was astonishing, creating constant noise from the fan, traffic, and street chatter—even at night. We heard almost nothing from other residents, perhaps because the noise was drowned out.

The location was great. The property is close enough to the centre and not on a hill, which is good. It was comfortable. The fan barely worked, especially in a hot country—crazy. I contacted the owner, they promised a new fan but never delivered. I have a video of me putting makeup powder in front of the fan and nothing happened; the fan wasn’t even strong enough to blow the powder. Thank God I had a mini fan that was stronger than the one provided. New fans and bathroom towels are needed.

Clean, well‑located room, the kitchen was adequately equipped. Room B had single‑glazing facing a major road, very noisy during the day, making it hard to sleep. The bed was uncomfortable; as soon as you move, you wake your partner.
