The reception and staff treated us like family, welcoming us warmly and sharing local knowledge; the room was beautifully clean and the heater was turned on because it was cold, which we appreciated; the kitchen facilities were good; we were allowed to arrive early due to our other commitments that day, which we really appreciated. The room we stayed in had quite dated decor, but we understood that we didn’t pay top dollar in Hanmer, so it was still acceptable.
