“Cosy, welcoming, and stunning!”
The place was stunning—rustic, cozy, and the hosts were wonderfully welcoming.
We couldn't have been happier staying at La Grange de Lucie for four nights during a friend's wedding; the property looked gorgeous and, despite the odd September weather and our packed schedule, the pool was always ready if we needed it and the grounds were lovely for the kids. The bedroom fit our family of four perfectly, with a huge super king, a large single, and a cot; the waterfall shower was easy to use. What truly made the stay special was Valerie and her family—she was the most gracious host, welcoming us at arrival, offering a drink, and getting to know us before showing the beautiful property, grounds, and our room. She even provided an iron when needed, local pharmacy locations, and played puzzles with our 3‑year‑old at breakfast to give us time to eat. Breakfast varied each day, and we were treated to the most delicious homemade pancakes on the last morning. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would not choose anywhere else if we return.
“Charmant endroit et excellent accueil”
The welcome was very friendly in this large stone house in the region. The room was very comfortable, spacious, and well decorated. The modern bathroom was pretty. The view from the window was nice. The breakfast was excellent, and the host introduced us to a fantastic oatmeal‑based dish with almond milk, chia, and a few secret ingredients that we now use at home. The village is relatively isolated and very quiet, and we were lucky to spot several deer and a badger while walking around. What’s pleasant and rare is that the room walls are stone, just like the house exterior, giving it a unique charm. Truly a very pleasant and relaxing place.
“Endroit à conseiller vivement pour découvrir le Périgord”
The welcome was great and the host was very friendly and helpful, offering an excellent varied breakfast; beautiful hiking options well documented by Valérie with great restaurant suggestions—definitely a spot to recommend highly.
“Heerlijk ontspannen”
The owners were super friendly. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet. After visiting nearby sights, you can relax in the orchard or by the pool. The days you can dine at the B&B are definitely worth it. The rooms are spacious, the bathrooms are nice, and everything you need is available.
