Nothing good – the place was a mess, full of cockroaches and smelling like mold.

The biggest downside was that there was no air conditioning.

The spot is great, hidden from noisy streets yet close to the old town’s little shops, and checking in was a smooth process with easy communication from the host. The room isn’t huge, but it has everything you’d need for a short stay. The bathroom and beds were spotlessly cleaned, but the fridge had dust that looked ancient, and the floors were mopped so heavily with soap that a thin film stuck to the floor – walking across them in light socks left them coated, so I kept my shoes on until I reached the bathroom. The bathroom floor had a similar soapy layer that could be slippery, and the door’s bottom was badly peeled, revealing paper underneath because the paint had flaked off.

We never got the code for the access gate, so after an evening walk the chip didn’t work and we couldn’t open it. We also couldn’t reach the contact person, so we had to ask the neighbors to open the gate for us.
