“Good hotel for a relaxing stay with ocean view”
I had a pleasant, relaxing holiday. The location was superb, with ocean views from the garden loungers, and breakfast quality was good. Plenty of loungers and many pools were available, and even though the hotel is large, it never felt like a crowd. The staff were extremely friendly and went the extra mile. The hotel is within walking distance of restaurants, supermarkets, etc. Three issues bothered me: first, the hotel has a dated look, supposedly built in the early 00s but feeling like the early 80s, with worn furniture, crooked drawers, a bathtub “shower,” bare garden patches, TL tube lights, and old gym machines—this is not what I expected for the price. Second, hygiene problems were evident: I found hair from cleaning staff in my bed, bathtub, and floor; a French fry fell on my room floor and stayed for 24 hours; dust in corners, splashes on walls, and algae in the pool. Third, the food was poor for the cost; restaurants served the same international dishes at high prices, and poolside drinks were basic and expensive, like a Cuba Libre made with rum, lemon syrup, and dispenser coke.
