“Expectativa alta, experiência decepcionante”
The charm of the old vacation spot, the valet service, and partly the reception. The hotel falls far short of a 5‑star experience. With the daily rate and full board, we expected much more. The rooms had a mold smell, the bathroom was very small and the shower had issues. It’s unacceptable to take a hot shower and suddenly get a blast of extremely cold water, plus the low flow. The meals are mediocre, nothing special, quite simple, and in our view lower quality than many other 5‑star hotels. We also found poorly washed dishes and glasses in the cabinet near the soda with signs of poor hygiene, including lipstick marks. The elevators can’t handle the guest load, and wait times during peak hours are excessive. On one night, to go to dinner, we had to go down the stairs from the 7th floor to the ground floor. Another disappointment was the social media hype about the chocolates. Based on the pictures, we expected them everywhere in the hotel, but the “chocolate on demand” was basically just a table in the lobby. Overall, the hotel left a lot to be desired, especially in terms of cost‑benefit and the promised experience.
I found the food cold and felt the price of the daily rate didn’t justify the quality of the meals, though the menu could have been a bit more varied and slightly more elaborate.

I really liked the variety of food, the warm pool, the cleanliness, and the reception. The installation had some issues: the tap was a bit hard to open, the shower required effort to get the right temperature, the seat was a bit loose, and the lighting was a bit weak. But those are things maintenance can fix. The acoustic insulation in the room was weak, with external noise and noise from neighboring rooms. Adult entertainment was missing; there was only content for children.
The food, cleanliness, and staff courtesy were great, but the pillows and the courts need a refurbishment.
