The room was clean, but the place was noisy in the morning—stairs creaked and a truck reversed out of the parking lot with a warning alarm at 530 am.

The place is close to the train station and shops, but the neighbours are noisy and the room feels a bit pokey.

The location is very central and the building is a beautiful 150‑year‑old terrace, but the heritage room we stayed in was absolute bare bones, probably last renovated in the 1960s, and I expected much more for $300/night; it was a family room and the only one available, so I’m not sure about the more modern rooms.

The staff were friendly, yet the room needs some work—broken tiles and other issues, and the photos on the site are outdated.

There’s plenty of parking and the building feels old‑school, just over the road from the station and within walking distance of shops around the block, but two nights had no hot water, the floors are uneven, bathrooms need updating, rooms need a deep clean, and the grounds could use a thorough tidy‑up.
