The breakfast had good variety, but it should start earlier, at least 7:30. The location is nice, quiet, and by the river with easy access to the great Pindobal beach. The road to get there is 8 km of rough dirt. There was no internet in the cabins and the fix took a long time. The TV didn’t work and no action was taken.

The setting was magnificent and relaxing, far from the tourist bustle of Alter do Chão. We enjoyed their beach after breakfast and early in the evening to watch stunning sunsets. The room was comfortable and the staff were very attentive— a small water issue was resolved quickly. We also liked being able to wash our clothes on site. Breakfast was very good, varied and delicious. We did order our evening meals; a proper restaurant at night would be the little extra that would make the place perfect. The place is quite far from Alter do Chão, so renting a car is very useful for getting around—the road can be a bit rough in places because of truck work. It is, however, well‑located for visiting Belterra, its museum, and the Ford‑era houses.

The place was very pleasant and peaceful, perfect for relaxing and enjoying nature. The private beach was stunning. The road to the lodge was in pretty rough shape, which was a bit annoying, but it didn’t take away from the overall charm.

The beach and the lodge’s space were great. The breakfast was the only drawback.

The lady who welcomed us was very kind and courteous. The spot itself is wonderful and the sunset is a spectacle. Even though it’s far from the village, we had transport and delivery for meals, which gave us plenty of time to enjoy the area. We loved it! Because of the location, it’s better to rent a car. The host sent us several contacts to arrange transport to the villages of Alter and Santarém. We had no problems, felt safe and supported, but it costs a bit more.
