The Caledonian Hotel, a bespoke hotel, overlooks Ullapool harbour and Loch Broom's colourful fishing boats. Located in central Ullapool, it's a 3-minute walk from the Stornoway ferry terminal. Built in the early 1900s, this historic hotel offers free parking, WiFi, and proximity to Inverewe Gardens, the North Coast 500 route, and west Highland attractions like Loch Maree and Inverness.

The staff were friendly, the breakfast was good, and the waiters and bar staff were happy and polite; the receptionists were helpful and cheery, and overall nothing really stood out—just decent value for money.

Location clean everything worked well good parking. Big and a bit impersonal. Breakfast was expensive and there weren’t other options

The location was great, but it was very expensive.

The location was good and the ferry parking was free, but room 43, though refurbished, had an old saggy and smelly bed with a big dip in the middle, making it very uncomfortable; the bedding looked worn, there were no towels in the room so we had to request them, the room hadn’t been vacuumed and still had someone else’s crumbs on the floor, a mug hadn’t been washed, and the shower area was not cleaned properly with toothpaste splatters and a grubby base.
