We were a family of seven adults and one child heading to Sun Moon Lake the next day, so we booked the whole building with four rooms. On the second floor there were three rooms each with three double beds, and on the third floor one room with two double beds, so the bed distribution was plenty. The mattresses were soft and comfortable. The bathrooms were set up as follows: one on the first floor, one shared on the second, one with a private bath and balcony on the second, and a private bath on the third. The water pressure and temperature were normal. The hotel supplied shampoo, body wash, towels, bath towels, a hair dryer, and other toiletries. Each room had an air‑conditioner, and the living room had one too. There was a kitchen with utensils, a fridge for refrigeration and freezing, free Wi‑Fi, and free parking. Parking space was ample; we had three cars and all had spots. We paid a deposit online and settled the balance in cash at check‑in. The reception staff were friendly and courteous. I stayed on the third floor and found the dust a bit heavy; once I lay down I started running nose constantly, though I didn’t feel itchy. The room looked clean, but my nose couldn’t handle it. A thinner blanket would have helped; the thick one was too hot, and when I turned on the AC it felt too cold. The shelf above the bathroom sink looked a little dirty, maybe some limescale. Around 7–8 pm the neighbors were singing karaoke, and the room’s soundproofing was poor so I could hear it clearly, but it seemed to stop after 9 pm.
