We booked a two‑bedroom apartment with an equipped kitchen, and it was perfect—spacious, clean, comfortable, and cozy all at once, plus the two hot tubs were a real treat and the place offered great value.

The room was roomy and comfy, and although there was a fireplace, we didn’t need it because the weather was beautiful; breakfast was decent, especially the waffle machine, but the TV was broken and the staff couldn’t fix it, and with no vacancies we couldn’t switch rooms.

The bed was comfy in a large, quiet room at a traditional, established motel; filter coffee was in the room, breakfast was fair, and parking was easy; the location was great—close to a lovely stretch of coast and a short drive to downtown Pacific Grove and restaurants, and the complimentary wine hour was a nice touch, but a stained carpet in our room lowered the score a bit.

The TV was a little difficult to turn on with no instructions
