The room was clean but plain, with no fridge or tea facilities. Breakfast was good and the dining area was lovely. The bedroom carpet looked worn and the seams were frayed. The shower was awful, taking forever to heat up, then the water flow was weak and the temperature kept changing. We were a few guests, yet we ended up in a noisy room right at the top of the stairs with a poor balcony. A fire door was wedged, limiting access. The host constantly nagged about our arrival time even though we had already told him when we would arrive. Other reviewers said the host was very helpful, but while he was in the bar we were never asked if we wanted a drink on a hot day.
