Overall, the management was good and the place was clean. It’s relatively close to a large supermarket and there’s a nice spot nearby for a walk. When staff don’t speak English, showing a guidebook or something would be better than constantly using a translator; it felt inefficient. A woman whose role I couldn’t tell—whether she was staff or owner—had a domineering attitude and a very stiff expression; there was no friendliness at all. Long‑term residents were plentiful, and they all liked to watch videos or make calls in the room at night without headphones. They need better training and stronger enforcement.

The owner may look cold, but he’s super fun, with a bit of cold humor and a vibe that feels like a mix of Serbian coldness and a warm heart. The cleaning is so thorough that I’m embarrassed to dirty anything. The shower is big, but I couldn’t set the water temperature properly and it was a bit hot. The whole hostel is laid‑back; a nod is enough to acknowledge each other, and it’s quiet. A park and a mall are nearby, perfect for evening walks, and MEGA has Lanzhou ramen!

From the moment I arrived at night, the admin wouldn’t let me in, saying the hostel opens at 10 am even though the booking said night check‑in was possible. We booked a four‑person room, but they told us there was no space and I had to move into a room that cost three times as much. The admins were very arrogant, talking to us as if we were their daughters, with no tact. The hostel looked good in the photos, but their attitude ruined everything (it seems all the admins look the same). They come around at any time during the night, and when we asked to go outside for fresh air because the room wasn’t ventilated and we felt uncomfortable, they refused. We asked for a refund, but they never gave it back: they’re greedy and unpleasant people.
