The place was spotless, Karim was welcoming and friendly, the motorcycle garage was secure, and he gave great restaurant recommendations nearby. Breakfast was hearty and served on the terrace, and the neighborhood’s rough appearance is misleading—this establishment is impeccable.

The owner was very friendly, greeted us with tea, nuts, and a pleasant chat. We were given a better room because it happened to be free. Morning breakfast was also excellent with freshly squeezed orange juice on a cozy terrace.

I stayed at a small guest house in Zagora, just a short walk from the best restaurant in town, and it did its job. The owner has a tiny garage that can fit a couple of motorcycles if you’re arriving on one. The place is a bit further north than I’d prefer for enjoying Zagora, but it’s still fine; next time I’d look for something closer to the river.
