The resort is beachfront with reserved umbrellas. The gardens are well maintained and the buffet dishes, prepared on the spot, are fairly varied. There are shows and themed evenings on different days. The room was full of mosquitoes. As soon as you open the entrance door or the garden door, you’re attacked. Ants also appear sometimes. The bathroom has no door and is only separated from the room by a sliding glass door, so it doesn’t give the privacy you expect.

“Excelente hotel, fraca cultura”

The hotel really shines when it comes to its location, facilities, day‑time activities, and overall organization. Every staff member is incredibly approachable, friendly, and efficient. If you want a retreat that offers physical activity, healthy food, and the beautiful beach of Santa Maria, this place fits the bill. The first contact upon arrival was disappointing, though: during check‑in we received no orientation about the hotel or its amenities, and no useful information was provided. We were handed only a flyer with a map, and the staff didn’t explain that there’s an app for the layout and daily schedule, among other things, leaving us stranded. Another downside was the lack of a Cape Verdean vibe; the local culture was noticeably missing, especially at the nightly parties.

“Amazing hotel with a few minor things to improve.”

I loved the beachfront spot—pristine sand and crystal clear water right by the Atlantic. The buffet food was top quality, and there were plenty of activities, both included like the gym and extras like kitesurfing and diving. The facilities were spotless and the staff went out of their way to help. Since it’s adults‑only, the pool area stayed quiet, unlike busier family resorts where kids keep you on edge. The vibe was great overall. The downside was the Atlantic winds that make the first few meters of the beach a bit rough, and the resort could use more natural shade in the lounging zones. A few maintenance issues popped up around the pool and garden—missing shingles and some dying green grass patches. The all‑inclusive rate covers beer and wine, which lowers the value if you’re not a big drinker, something most guests I saw didn’t mind. Finally, the pillows were overly fluffy and the front desk didn’t offer any firmer options.

“Curta mas muito boa”

I booked a sea‑view room but was given a room without a sea view. A few hours after complaining to Booking, they called me and fixed the issue. Still, that period was unpleasant and disappointing, so it’s a warning for anyone arriving.
