The setting is very pretty, more like a cabin than a motel. There was no ice.

The proximity to the lake was a plus, yet the exterior looked like it had some wear and tear and we had stayed there five years ago. There was a lot of deferred maintenance. We wished there had been a table and chairs for eating and playing cards.
