The macaws that hang around the hotel are a fun sight, but the mosquito situation is relentless and you can’t even open the balcony without getting bitten.

The place gives you good bang for your buck and a quiet vibe—ideal if you just want to soak in the hot springs. Breakfast was tasty and the staff were genuinely helpful. The only annoyances were the strict no‑food, no‑water‑bottle rule and the fact it’s a bit off the main road, so having a car is pretty much a must.

Service was friendly, the heated pools were pleasant, and breakfast hit the spot.

Breakfast felt homemade with fresh ingredients, the bed was comfy and the AC ran silently, and the garden and surrounding views were nicely kept. The staff at the restaurant and bar were polite, and the macaws perched in the palms added a nice touch. On the flip side, the pools were filthy—hair, oily residue, and sunscreen stains everywhere—and there was no daily cleaning, plus day‑use guests made the area crowded and a bit unsafe.
