The hotel’s spot is spot‑on, just a stone’s throw from Shin‑Yokohama station, which made hopping on the Shinkansen a breeze. The area is packed with eateries and shops, even a ramen museum nearby with a huge range of flavours to sample. The staff were warm and helpful; when we checked in we noticed some bedding had an odd smell, but they promptly swapped in fresh duvets and sheets and re‑made the beds right away. The room’s décor and furniture feel pretty dated, and given the level of comfort and amenities, the price feels a tad steep.
