The site was clean and comfortable, but the location was definitely far from anything; the drive from the main road to the house takes 15‑20 minutes, and it’s up in the mountains, so you have to add that travel time to wherever you’re heading next. That’s a key point to consider, especially since the listing claimed a great location, which wasn’t the case. Aside from that, everything else—cleanliness and comfort—was fine.

We stayed here for a week. It was very clean and tidy. The guesthouse has only three rooms plus a shared lounge and kitchen. The view from the common balcony is excellent. The kitchen has everything needed for cooking, and there’s free tea/coffee. A free washing machine is available. The place is very quiet. A car is recommended, but we didn’t have one and used public buses, which worked fine. The village itself has a few cafés and a basic grocery shop. The hosts are polite and friendly. The price is democratic.

The house is very clean, quiet, and offers a beautiful view. The kitchen is well equipped. The room with a private bathroom is spacious, and the bed is comfortable. We had been here two years ago, and the hot‑water system was replaced; there were two occasions when there was no hot water (only 50 L for three rooms, so be careful in winter). A storage in each room would help. Back then there were plenty of self‑service items in the kitchen—oil, spices, etc.—which are no longer available.

“Very typical Tenerife village close to Guimar valley”

The accommodation is very affordable and super convenient for exploring the Guimar Valley region. We loved having breakfast on the sweet little balcony and used the well‑equipped kitchen. This place is great for someone who appreciates local vibe and enjoys interacting with other travellers in shared spaces. We enjoyed watching stars and the clear air. A portable heater in the room was very appreciated, since it can get chilly in the evening, and extra blankets were a nice addition. Remember it’s further away from the cost, so temperatures drop to around 13‑16 °C in winter. The room didn’t smell fresh, so we had to leave the window open. The road isn’t bad at all, but you HAVE to take the La Roque exit to enjoy the views and comfort.

“Herzensplatz.”

The accommodation was my little refuge. Even though other rooms were occupied and we shared a bathroom, everything was always quiet and everyone was respectful. We hardly noticed each other. The bathroom was cleaned daily! I would stay here anytime. The stars in the mountains were fantastic, and so was the view. The location is very, very quiet—perfect for unwinding. I arrived by bus (note that you need some patience and an overview until you get the bus system). I originally wanted a rental car but decided against it and walked everywhere. There are many beautiful places around in peace. Thanks for this spot, Naomi. All the locals are super friendly and helpful. Thanks for everything.
