The shower was big and everything was very clean and had all the essentials, but the furniture looked a bit dated, the sofa had seen better days, and the hotel water tap didn’t work properly.

Overall the caravan was pretty clean, except for the carpet and sofas; there were plenty of utensils, pans, crockery, a fully working cooker and fridge‑freezer, and we loved how quiet and peaceful the location was. The internet was advertised as unlimited, but it barely worked during our stay, probably because of the weather. The place was as clean as it could be for an older caravan that’s clearly seen a lot of use; the carpet and sofas could use a deep clean—my daughter ran across the carpet once and her socks came out almost pitch black, and the sofa fabric felt dirty. After the first night we felt like we’d been sent there as punishment—our backs were killing us, the mattresses seemed cheap and you could feel every spring poking through.

The clubhouse had amazing amenities, but they need to be updated because there’s no pool; there were so many appliances if you’re cooking in the van.
