The couple who took care of us was very, very kind and we ate wonderfully at the hotel restaurant. Nothing else.

You can leave bicycles in the garage ;) Welcome cake ;) Dogs are welcome. The crazy priest and his bells, ringing every 15 minutes, even the train outside the window was not that annoying.

A beautiful old wooden house with very spacious rooms. Despite being located right between a railway line and a street, it was totally quiet because nothing runs at night. It is also easily reachable on foot from the ferry dock or the train station. It is dreamily situated right in the middle of Lake Brienz. The hosts are incredibly friendly and the attached restaurant is highly recommended. The pizza and burgers are unbelievably tasty. Breakfast is only offered as a mini‑buffet at the table, but it is still sufficient and varied. The old wooden beds are a bit squeaky. Some fans were available in my room, which was nice but also made the room feel a bit crowded. The fact that the jams and other spreads come in small pre‑packed portions at breakfast somewhat ruined the otherwise very positive sustainable impression. It would have been nicer if there were a small selection of spread jars at the bar for all guests.
