Overall the staff was very friendly, but the lady at breakfast was quite stiff because the room we got did not match the description (no view of the garden but of the staff parking, right next to the noise from the kitchen hood). We were upgraded to a suite, which was a very friendly offer. The hotel was tastefully restored, but the breakfast area and restaurant had no windows to the outside. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant and breakfast area, but we could eat outside with the nice weather. However, a loud fan on the terrace creates an unpleasant noise across the whole terrace. The garden was full of weeds, the pond was not filled, and the hotel was only superficially polished. Inside it was okay, but when you opened the windows, the area around the windows and the outside were very dirty. For the room we had booked, the price/quality ratio was a bit disappointing because of this. But the upgrade made up for it. During the four days we were there we only saw the owners once, so you didn't feel warmly welcomed.

We really enjoyed the spa and were lucky to use it alone. The room was very comfortable, and the staff were pleasant. The breakfast was very good. We were a bit disappointed with the evening dinner; given the prices I expected more flavor and creativity. In the end it was very simple.

My wife chose mackerel while I opted for steak, and the wine glasses were lovely. The dessert spread was delightful, and breakfast included croissants, bread, yogurt with muesli, which was fine. The staff were excellent. However, we had booked a price that included breakfast and dinner, but that didn’t work out, even though we’d confirmed it earlier. We ended up paying separately for dinner and drinks.

The location was perfect for a relaxed stay, the rooms and beds were good, and both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Nothing else to note.
