The location on Don Det Island was really good—close to the ferry, many restaurants, and bicycle rentals. The bed was comfy and the room was very large. The Wi‑Fi wasn’t great, the room felt a bit dated, the pillows were hard but were swapped upon request, and the room was very light.

A lot of construction is happening around the site, so you’re on a construction site. The room was spacious and clean, with a large double bed for two people. The surrounding area is under construction.

I found a decent spot close to the harbor, and the hammock was a nice touch. Renting a bike was convenient. However, even though we booked a fan‑only room, it stayed sweltering; the mosquito net was riddled with holes, so I still got bitten. The room still had leftover items from previous guests, and it was infested with ants and other bugs. A creature chewed through our bags at night, and when we checked out, the staff told us we hadn’t paid for our bikes even though we had paid when we returned them. When we mentioned the bag damage, we just received a shrug and a “sorry.”

The location is solid, and they offer a good exchange rate. Unfortunately, there’s no customer service or smiles here. I told them the bike’s tire needed air, but halfway through my trip the back tire went flat and I was far from the hostel. The cabins get hot even with the fan on.
