The spot was excellent, the staff were helpful and friendly, and both the dinner and breakfast were tasty; the bed was very comfortable. The room itself felt cramped, and only one of us could see out the high window; the bathroom needed updating, though having a bath was a nice touch.

It changed throughout the day: in the morning it was nice and quiet, in the afternoon it felt like a calm country pub, and at night it turned into a social hub with no late pub noise. I was a bit picky about the lower tables in the outdoor sheltered area; it would have been better if they were wetter, but I still enjoyed sitting outside in the fine weather.

The Alma Inn felt warm and inviting, with a cozy atmosphere that made the room feel lovely. We booked dinner on our first night and the food was absolutely incredible and delicious. It was a great spot for a wedding weekend, and I’d definitely recommend it. The only downside was that the rooms aren’t very soundproof, so we could hear other guests late at night and it disturbed our sleep on the first night, but that didn’t ruin the overall experience.
