I recently stayed in a quaint little cottage that had a fantastic location, but unfortunately, it showed its age in every other aspect. The moment I stepped inside, I was hit with a strong, unpleasant odor that lingered throughout my stay. The carpets were stained and dirty, and the sofa was no better, with a layer of grime that seemed to be a permanent fixture. The upstairs bedrooms were dimly lit due to faulty lamps, and the TV was temperamental, making it difficult to unwind after a long day.
