Room was clean and comfortable with great views. The food was excellent and the staff really helpful and friendly. The beach was clean, and security were very much in evidence, and the pool was great

The Private Club was uncluttered and the cuisine was solid. The bathroom in the room felt cramped and clearly needs an upgrade.

Check‑in and check‑out went smoothly. The buffet offered a good variety, and the staff were very amiable. The pool bar had great drinks, and the Italian dishes and wine selection were solid. The pool was tidy and well‑managed. However, the seafood restaurant was disappointing—only one fish on the menu! The bathroom was a tight fit, and the bathtub was a safety hazard because it was slippery and should have been fixed. Water was cut off several times without any heads‑up.

The staff were warm, and our roomy accommodation was clean with comfortable beds. We stayed at VIK Cayena Beach, which felt wonderfully uncrowded. My wife adored the spa, especially the skilled manicurist‑pedicurist Nadia. The beach access was inconvenient; we had to tackle steep, awkward paths down and back up. With a little effort, it could have been made much more user‑friendly.

Before arriving here, we spent six days at the 5‑star Dream Flora resort in Punta Cana and then moved on to this place for four days because the pictures looked great and the price was much more reasonable. The food isn’t as good as at the 5‑star resort we stayed at earlier, and some facilities feel a bit worn, but otherwise this spot is awesome. It’s very relaxing, right on the beach, with a great balcony view. The staff are friendly and the place feels cozy—perfect for unwinding. My family loved VIK Hotel far more than the 5‑star resort we stayed at before; it felt like home.
