The setup is great for families, the beach in front of the hotel is very pretty, calm, and protected by a coral barrier. There are several pools and kids’ areas. For a solo mom it’s very practical because you can enjoy a lot without leaving the resort. My son loved the facilities. Mario said it was a great experience, both food and service. The location is convenient for renting a car right inside the hotel.
The main drawback was the service. I had a few unpleasant encounters during my stay. On the first day, I went into the Bluewater Grill in a bikini and an employee shouted at me from afar, saying I wasn’t dressed properly. I understand there are rules, but the way she approached me was extremely harsh and unnecessary, especially since I had just arrived with a child. After that, I was worried about always being “properly” dressed to avoid further confrontations. My room was farther from the common areas, which was a bit inconvenient. The food was decent but not a strong point of the resort. There are several restaurants, but not all operate every day or at all times. The pool area lacks waiter service, so you have to leave to get food and drinks – and many times the restaurant was closed and only a simple snack was available. I also found queues for drinks. The World Café has limited hours, the snacks are simple, and the ice cream had only one flavor and, on some days, started being served later. The hotel lists Coco Café as a 24‑hour option, but I didn’t find it operating during my stay. Oceana Restaurant’s food was good, but the place was very crowded and didn’t operate every day. The minibar barely chilled. Hertz inside the hotel is convenient, but the service I received was not cordial.
