The hotel's location was a major plus, being very close to Shinjuku
I was pleased with this hotel's value for money, thanks to its great location and affordable prices
The shared facilities were a highlight, featuring a large mirror with sinks and hair dryers

“お家感覚でくつろげた”
Staying in a tatami‑room made me feel as relaxed as if I were at home, and the pre‑arrival emails with check‑in/out details and other notes were handled very politely. Even though there was a “keep quiet after 9 pm” notice, the guests in the next room kept talking loudly late into the night and made a lot of noise, which really affected the otherwise good facilities.
“Ekstrem dårlig oplevelse. Der er klamt og ulækkert på både værelse og hotel.”
The location is okay, but you don’t really want to be there. We hated the smell, mold, cold water in the ladies’ bath, the heat (our air‑conditioner didn’t work), the mess and trash around the hotel, the extremely thin mattress, so you basically have to be ready to sleep on the floor, and the room was very damp. They have dehumidifiers and plenty of scented blocks, but those couldn’t eliminate the bad odor.
“Good stay for few nights.”
There are luup scooters nearby and the outside looks cool. There’s trash in the back. Is there a washing machine?
“Moins pire que ce que je pensais.”
The accommodation was close to Shinjuku and the subway, which was a real plus. The room was a decent size and for one night it was perfectly adequate; I expected worse. The staff seemed friendly, and I messaged them and they replied quickly. The housekeeping was generally good. On the downside, a strong odor greeted me when I entered the room, and I couldn’t tell where it came from, but it was truly unpleasant. The futon was dirty and dust‑filled, and the bedding had stains even though it looked like it had been washed. Even with the air conditioner, the room stayed very damp. The ladies’ shower was covered in mildew. The insulation was almost non‑existent – you hear everything happening in neighboring rooms. Also, the ryokan sits on a hill; if you’re traveling with large luggage, I strongly advise against it.
“It was fair enough for the money.”
The building is nice and well‑located. It wasn’t cleaned properly and they didn’t provide soap in the toilets.
