“The staff was friendly and helpful”
The place was spotless and cozy, but the bathroom and bathtub sat too close to the bed in the room I stayed in.

I had a big room and a lovely garden.

Barbra, the fabulous and glamorous greeter, met us at the airport along with our charming driver, and the room was nice and comfortable—though not as cool and luxurious as the photos suggested. They even left us a cake for our joint 60th birthday, which was thoughtful. We ordered room service, but it was slow and a bit confused, though it was midnight, so that was understandable. When we came to breakfast the next morning, we first walked through the garden to check out the pool before checking out, and an unfriendly older waiter rushed out of the breakfast room looking at us as if we were trespassing—despite us being in our 60s and reasonably well dressed, it felt a little strange.

The gardens are beautiful and well kept, and the staff are amazing.

Tribe Hotel is a beautifully designed property with a sophisticated and relaxing atmosphere; the architecture and interior design are impressive, and the hotel balances luxury and comfort well. The rooms are spacious, stylish and comfortable, and the staff are warm, professional and attentive. The location in Gigiri is excellent for exploring Nairobi, and the overall experience feels genuinely upscale without being overly formal. There was very little to dislike; if anything, some services could be a little more efficient during busy periods, but this did not take away from an otherwise excellent stay.
