The property sits on a vast area in a park. Rooms are in different buildings—when booking, pay attention to where you stay, because you might end up with a spot by the pool or a spot by the breakfast area. On the grounds there are loungers, plenty of seating places, a spot to chat and unwind. The breakfasts are VERY good. Tasty and with a huge selection. The staff is discreet and helpful. The pool water is quite cold, which is surprising given that it’s a recreational pool, not a swimming one. The approach to the Japanese garden is neglected; the path on the left side of the pond is littered with rubble and disappearing into the bushes, giving a bad impression. The restaurant—maybe we were unlucky, but there weren’t many dishes. Those that were had a questionable quality‑to‑price ratio.
