The room was spotless, cozy, and had a lovely balcony—just the right size for two. The hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly, even coordinating our luggage upon arrival, and the breakfast was excellent. The only downside was that it was a short walk from the main beach and street, as well as from Fornillo beach.

The views were stunning, and the hosts were truly exceptional—meeting us outside, assisting with our bags, giving a clear tour of the apartment, and arranging a car rental for the day. We also enjoyed a delightful breakfast. The only drawback was the 300 steps up to the hut, but the scenery made it worthwhile. I would highly recommend this place.

Casa Mandara was perfect for us, especially since both my wife and I were ill while in Positano and needed a place to recover. Pepe is a genuinely kind man who is always ready to answer questions or chat if you spot him on the street. Every morning we enjoyed a sweet breakfast of fruits and pastries. We suggest using the bag couriers at the Marina—30 Euro for two bags—to bring your luggage to the BNB; it’s well worth it. The walk from the Marina to Casa Mandara is reasonable, but if you prefer public transport, you can walk to the main bus stop at Piazza dei Mulini, pay a small fare, and catch the ‘Positano Interno’ bus that drops you at a stop 50 steps above Casa Mandara. Otherwise you’d have to climb 300 steps or more. The stairs didn’t bother us; we used them as exercise or took the bus.
