The décor was great, front‑parking was available, and everything was clean. The location is excellent and they reply quickly via message. However, because there are many rooms, the separation between them is tiny and you can hear everything—from footsteps and coughs to other guests’ alarms. The alarm in the neighboring room kept ringing for an hour and woke us. The floors also creak loudly. The pillows are terrible, but for a single night it’s acceptable.

The owner is very friendly and attentive; breakfast is plentiful, always freshly replenished, and special requests (lactose‑free, egg, juices…) are handled immediately. The older house was newly renovated with a stylish nod to the past, very quiet, and the large parking lot is right in front of the building. In a few minutes you’re by the Hallstatt lake, in Ischl, and other tourist centers; bike paths run along the Traun nearby. It was very nice 👍👍. The room was a bit small (but clean)—sufficient for one person 🤷♂️, barely enough space for our motorcycle jackets, but otherwise nothing to complain about.

We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, so I can’t judge that. In mid‑October, this place is a quiet and silent alternative not far from the center. Clean, simple, and affordable. Bad Goisern is small, so walking between the hotel and the train station is easy, with quick connections to Bad Ischl, Hallstatt, Gosau, Wolfgangsee, and more.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. I highly recommend it for anyone seeking a quiet getaway in the heart of nature—everything was perfect.
