All staff were very polite and friendly. The atmosphere was just right, and the room suited me perfectly. The parking situation was lacking: the car park I was directed to was closed, so I had to park at the back of Wetherspoons and walk, which isn’t ideal for a woman traveling alone.

The staff were very helpful, and the building’s history was interesting. The room door didn’t feel very secure, so I wouldn’t feel comfortable staying alone. Because the building is old, the windows are single glazed and there’s a walkway beside it, so there’s a lot of noise from people walking and shouting up the alleyway until about 4 am; it’s not the hotel’s fault, but I didn’t sleep well because of it.
