The room had power outlets next to the beds, curtains, and lockers, and it was inexpensive. There was no kitchen, and the owner’s private rooms were located between the hostel rooms. Only men stayed there and stared at me because I was the only woman (luckily I was traveling with two guys). I couldn’t lock my room door.

The location was good, but the room had no windows and couldn’t be locked. We never received a code for the entrance, so we had to rely on the receptionist being in the building. The receptionist was odd – he kept coming to our room with strange questions, like whether I could help him get a work visa for my country, and he was constantly checking what we were doing. On the second night he asked us to pay again even though we had already paid for two nights. He was a crazy guy and the reason I won’t return.

It was the cheapest we could find, and the location was fine, close to the local area and the centre. There was no service whatsoever. The receptionist was unhelpful, and after three days he was pushing for a 5‑star rating. We didn’t get keys to our rooms. The bathroom was only semi‑clean, the kitchen was dirty and had no equipment, and the beds were as hard as the floor.
